"DEO OPTIMO MAXIMO"  -      FOR GOD, THE BEST AND GREATEST

I)  Organization

A) Command: The Unit in its Entirety; will be run by the highest ranking officer, Commanding Officers (CO) from each state will be responsible for their units and operate under the command of the highest ranking officer.

1) Executive authority:  The highest ranking officer has final say on any and all issues. While it is in his best interest to consult with his officers he is not obligated to do so.

2) Succession: If the highest ranking officer is incapable of performing his duties to the team he has the option to appoint an interim ranking officer to perform his duties as required. If the highest ranking officer leaves the team or decides to relinquish his position, his final act will be to appoint his successor. If he is not able to make this selection, all current officer rank and above must vote amongst themselves to elect a new highest ranking officer.

3) Commanding Officers: The command position, or CO, of each state is tasked with management of OMEGA STRYKE UNIT, affairs in their state, however the highest ranking officer must approve any decisions that affect the entire team or significantly influence the operations within that state. The highest ranking officer can, at any time, change any aspect of a state's command.

4) Executive Officers: The executive officer, or XO, of each state is an optional position that is tasked with assisting their commanding officer in any capacity as dictated by the CO.

5) Demotion: Officers can be removed from their positions, provided there is justification or necessity for such a removal from their position. Justification criteria will be established solely by the highest ranking officer. Upon proper justification, that officer will have their rank altered to the proper status, as deemed appropriate by the highest ranking officer.

B) Team Structure.

1) Squads. A squad is a grouping of 2 to 3 people. Usually used for organization and efficiency inside a platoon.

3) Companies. Each state will be organized as a company. Indiana will be known as "Regimental HQ".

4) Battalions. Battalions are a collection of 4 state companies.

F) Specialists.  The O.S.U. is Currently NOT Using Specialist Positions.

1) Definition

b) Members must be of Corporal rank or above in order to pursue a specialist position.

c) Specialist positions may be granted for several reasons:

i) Demonstrating an understanding of the specialist position and its requirements.

ii) Trains and demonstrates the abilities necessary for the position at unit events.

iii) Willing to buy the gear and equipment necessary to satisfy the requirements of the position.

d) Specialist positions may be denied or revoked for several reasons:

i) Unable or unwilling to meet gear requirements.

ii) Unable or unwilling to satisfy the requirements of that position (physically or mentally).

iii) Unsuccessful in their position after several attempts.

iv) Lack of need for the position.

e) Where necessary a specialist platoon may be formed.

2) Specialist positions. This is a list of currently available positions. This can be modified as needed to meet the needs to unit members. O.S.U. Members must be of Corporal rank or above in order to pursue a specialist position. Please let your fire-team leader know if you are interested in pursuing a specialist position so he/she can direct you to that goal.

    The O.S.U. is currently NOT

      using Specialist Positions.

a) Sniper:
One shot one kill. He is a one man army relying on accuracy to bring the other team down. Good shooting skills are a must. He will not have volumes of firepower to make up for poor accuracy. Snipers are dedicated to unparalleled accuracy on the paintball field. They are often characterized by their cool mentality, and a passion for excellent shots. Snipers are best known for their ability to sit back from the front line, safely out of harm's way, and flank the enemy positions from with effects as great, if not greater than those of the infantry on the front line. Due to their characteristic stealth, they are often observed in units that are known for ambush operations, ghost flanks and stealth maneuvers in general. Snipers are often used as special operation elements in specific situations.

b) Gunner:
He/she is the player that brings the firepower! He will need to be able to carry the ridiculous amounts of paint that is required to keep the other team at bay and bring the heat on any attack. Gunners are responsible for providing heavy suppressive fire from long range, and they will often rush up and down the front line, providing cover for other elements of the unit as they advance. Gunners will almost always be equipped with automatic weapons!

c) Heavy Weapons / Demolitions:

Heavy weapons specialists may carry paintball grenades, paintball rocket launchers, paintball mortars, and operate mounted paintball machine markers. They will often be equipped with smoke grenades, and mines as well.If there is a tank assigned to a unit, heavy weapons specialists may instead take up the role of tank pilot (also referred to as mech. pilot), as their knowledge of heavy weaponry tactics provides them with an advantage.

d) Medic:

Medic's must be incredibly fast, but often medics must have fire-support to typically be able to stay alive. In most cases the medic will be close to the front lines and must be able to complete his/her job under heavy fire. Medics cannot hesitate when operating in this position. They must be quick on their feet and quick in thinking.

e) Scout:
Speed, Speed and more Speed is what this player needs. Lightly armed and fast. He is the first player to make contact with the enemy. He should be able to work independently since he will be on his own for awhile and will need to make some key decisions. A scout must also have stealth on his/her side. A scout must be able to move quickly but also undetected.
Usually, they are counted on by the team command to 'take point" in front of a Platoon or Company. In numbers, they can also act as a team's quick response force, hovering behind their unit's front line and filling in the gaps as friendly players are eliminated. However, scout's primary responsibilities lie in finding units of the opposing unit, and then leading leading elements of the scouts' own unit to destroy those opponents. Scouts are also frequently used to draw fire from opposing teams for snipers, and to perform flanking maneuvers when two sides come to a 'paint trading' stand still. Scouts tend to be chosen for their speed, lightweight gear, intelligence, and their initiative on the field.

G) Staff Positions: Support personnel who will be ranked as Warrant officers. While they have no field rank, they do have authority over the day to day operations for which they oversee.
